1. Collection of Personal Data
B-able ("the Service"), provided by Aker Aragon Paz ("the Provider"), collects the following personal data:
- Account information: name, email address, and a securely hashed password, provided during registration.
- Financial simulation data: the financial inputs and scenarios you enter into the application. This data is stored to allow you to save and retrieve your work across sessions.
- Legal acceptance records: IP address, browser user agent, and timestamp at the time you accept the Terms of Service.
- Marketplace data (Microsoft Azure customers): Microsoft subscription ID, plan ID, Microsoft tenant ID, and purchaser email, collected automatically during the marketplace onboarding process.
We do not collect data from minors. The Service is intended for business professionals and is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age.
2. How We Use and Share Personal Data
Use
Your personal data is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (saving your inputs, scenarios, and simulation results).
- Process and manage your subscription (including Microsoft Azure Marketplace fulfillment).
- Communicate with you regarding account status, support requests, and service updates.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Your data may be shared only with:
- Infrastructure providers: Google Cloud Platform (hosting), Neon Database (data storage), and Microsoft Azure Marketplace (subscription management). These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
- Legal obligations: We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
3. Cookies and Tracking
B-able uses only essential cookies required for the Service to function:
- Session cookie: maintains your authenticated session while you use the application.
- Language preference cookie (
bable_lang): stores your selected language (English or Spanish).
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts.
4. Data Security
We implement the following measures to protect your information:
- Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing (scrypt). We never store plaintext passwords.
- All connections to the Service are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- The database is hosted on Neon with encrypted connections and access restricted to the application.
- The application runs on Google Cloud Run with managed security and automatic patching.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. Please refer to our Terms of Service & Disclaimer for details on limitation of liability.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Your personal data and saved scenarios are retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact support.bable@datakinsights.com.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
